The Q&A Archives: Tall plant

Question: What tall (but slim) plant can I put in a warm corner?

Answer: Your plant choice should take into account many different factors. You need to consider the overall size of the planting space as well as type of soil you have, if it is especially wet or dry, whether or not it is sunny all or part of the day, and whether or not there is wind. Do want a vine, a shrub, a tree or a flowering perennial? Evergreen or deciduous? You might also want to consider how your choice will fit in with the rest of your landscaping and your overall design goals.

Unfortunately based on the information in your question I am not certain what type of planting location you have or what general type of plant you are looking for so it is difficult to make specific suggestions. I would suggest you consult with your local county extension and/or professionally trained and certified nurseryman for help in identifying plants that would thrive in the location you have in mind, then select the one you like best from among those. They should be able to make detailed suggestions based on a more detailed understanding of what you are trying to achieve.
