I have three flowering cherry trees planted in a row. Each tree is 13 feet from each other.
In the winter they look so plain. Will rhododendrons grow between them. My concern is the lack of shade in the winter when the flowering cherries lose their leaves. Will rhododenrons survive?

Shade-loving varieties of rhododendrons need shade from the hot summer sunshine but don't especially mind the winter sun because it isn't intense. You should be able to successfully grow rhodies beneath your cherry trees. Good luck with your garden!
