We are going to plant 3 queen palms and I would like to know how deep we should put them and what special care they may need especially right after planting.

In general, dig a hole as deep and slightly wider than the container your Queen Palm is growing in. Set the palm into the planting hole, making sure it will be at the same soil level as when it was growing in the container. Gently tamp the soil down around the root system, then form a basin or water well at the base of the tree. When you water (once each week, depending upon weather), fill the basin, allow it to drain, then fill it a second time. This method of watering will concentrate the moisture at the root mass and allow it to trickle down, wetting the entire root mass. Queen Palms should be fed 2-3 times per year. Use a palm tree formulation and apply in amounts and with the frequency as recommended on the plant food label. Enjoy your lovely palms!
