I just bought a 'trumpet vine' and the place where I planned to put it at the front of the house, has a drain pipe . I am wondering if you can tell me how invasive these roots are. Do I need to cover the drain pipe with sheet metal to protect it?

Trumpet vine or Campsis radicans has an extensive and vigorous root system and tends to spread by the roots to colonize an area over time. This is a very large vine; it needs ample space to grow and it also needs a strong, sturdy support.
