Is it OK to plant a King Kong Orchid Tree near the foundation of my house? Like 3'-4' away? I don't know anyone who has one to ask. My concern is, how invasive are the roots? Thank you for your time.

Lesley,
That is pretty close for any plant. However it is possible to go in with a shovel and push it down to cut the roots around the fountain to about 8-10 inches deep periodically (once or twice a year). This will prevent surface roots from forming which are the ones that grow in diameter and threaten masonry and concrete structures.
