I have a very small Mimosa tree that is already established. I would like to transplant it. When do I need to do this and how much room does the Mimosa tree need for growth?

Rebecca,

November is the best time to transplant a mimosa or any other woody ornamental shrub for that matter. The cool days of fall when it also tends to rain regularly is the least stressful time for the new transplant. Fall transplanting also allows the most time for the roots to settle in and get established before the onset of hot weather next summer.

Mimosa is a fast grower reaching approximately 30 feet tall and wide.
