I have a new meyer lemon planted in a pot, I want to prevent pests on my tree. Is daily misting ok? Should I use a little bit of dish soap every time I mist the plant? Or plain water should be fine?

thanks

I wouldn't use a soap spray unless there were pests to control. Daily misting is okay, but using a soap spray on a daily basis would lead to a build up, which could compromise the health of the leaves. The best approach to keeping your tree pest free is to keep it healthy with regular watering and feeding and to inspect it every few weeks for signs of pests. If you find an aphid or scale or spider mites, you can nip the population in the bud. In the meantime, enjoy your new tree!
