I recently bought a hanging fuchsia basket and the leaves are turning a reddish color and it looks like bugs have been eating the leaves. Help! What can I do?

Reddish color on the leaves can indicate sunburn, reaction to cold weather, or a mineral deficiency. Fuchsia's appreciate shady conditions, lots of water, and regular feeding. Since your plant is in a container, you can provide a continuous feed by using a half-strength dilution of liquid fertilzer and apply every 2-3 weeks. As for the chewed leaves, simply pinch them off. Pinching the stems of your plant will encourage additional growth, leading to a dense and bushy appearance with lots of flowers. Enjoy!
