Why isn't my cabbage forming heads? They have been in the soil since Oct. and fertilized every two weeks.

From seed, cabbage takes 120 - 130 days to mature. If you planted seeds mid October the earliest you could expect mature plants would be mid February. If the plants are healthy and growing then you just need to give them time to mature.

I alwaysplant radishes, which mature as quickly as 40 days, and lettuce, which matures in 50 days, around my cabbage, broccoli and other cole crops to give me some intermediate gratification as I wait for the others to mature. This also allows me to make use ofthe space in the garden that will eventually be needed by the cabbage with a crop that will be harvested before the cabbage needs the space. Good Luck.
