We have a Haas avacado tree: branches are low and not strong, main trunk is not strong, and the tree is starting to bend over. What is the problem? Last year was the first year to produce fruit.

It sounds as though your young tree needs to be pruned back into a pyramidal shape. Pruning now will probably affect the fruit production this year but once you've established a strong pattern of branch work, the tree will be stronger and healthier. Commercial growers "head back" the central leader (cut it down slightly) to encourage side branching and then reduce the length of the side branches so it has a Christmas tree appearance. I'd prune it back now so new spring growth will be headed in the right direction. Best wishes with your tree!
