I have plant 4 drawf canna (the flower are in yellow color) this March. In a similar question, you have suggest to cut the flowering stalks down when the blossoms fade. Do I do that for every flower stalks? Can I leave my canna in the group during the winter?

Yi-Chen,

You can cut the blooms down to the first big leaf and that way have the foliage to see during the year. Cannas do not flower again on the same stalk. If you cut it down all the way to the ground that is okay to do but the plant won't be a thick the rest of the summer. When a frost or freeze kills the tops cut them off at the ground and put a couple of inches of mulch around the plants. They will be fine and return in the spring.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
