The Q&A Archives: Amaron and Suncrest Lilium

Question: I have plant total of 18 bulbs of lilium in my garden this March, and they are starting to blooming this time. In the similar question, you have reply they only bloom once a year. Should I transfer them to pots after it blooms? And re-plant them next Spring?

Answer: Yi-Chen,

There are several different types of lilium and some will be left in the ground and return next year in your area. Others won't. Sorry but I don't know what kind you have so I can't provide a better answer for you. I would suggest you leave some and pot some up to find out what works better for the type you have and in your southern climate.
