I have a matured Michelia champaca `Alba`, and was able to collect few seeds. How do I grow these seeds? I soaked one in warm water for 24hr, then planted, but it has been 5 weeks, and I think it's dead.
Many thanks,
Flora.

Michelia seeds need to go through a dormancy period of 3-6 months before they will sprout. Store any remaining seeds in your refrigerator for at least 3 months (42F) and then soak them overnight. Plant the seeds at 3/4" depth. Use well draining soil mixture. Keep warm, lightly moist and in bright light. The seeds should sprout for you after these treatments. Best wishes with your project!
