The Q&A Archives: Re: Moonflower

Question: Where can I find Moonflower? Noone seems to even know it exists.

Answer: Moonflower is the common name for Ipomoea alba, a fast growing vine with white flowers. It is usually started by planting seed in the garden where you want it to grow. The seeds are usually available in seed racks, often next to the morning glory seeds to which this is related. Before planting the seeds, nick them slightly with a razor blade and soak overnight in room temperature water. This will help them sprout faster. It is not too late to plant these, they need warm soil to germinate. Once they start, they grow quickly. Be sure to give them a warm and sunny spot. Enjoy!
