I bought a Home Depot product # H5285, SKU 578-494, an Upright Red Japanese Maple on May 25, 2006 in Salem, MA 01970. I have noticed many different varieties of which it could be and I am wondering if there is more specific information as to which it is ? i.e. Fireglow ?, Moonfire ?, Some Other ?, etc. Thank You.

Without seeing the foliage, I can't give you a positive identification, but most of the trees tagged "Upright Red Japanese Maple" are Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood'. If this is your tree, you can expect it to hold its red color all summer long and have an upright but symetrical growth habit, reaching 12-20' high and 15' in width. It makes an excellent specimen tree in the landscape.
