| Tender rose leaves are attractive to lots of different insects, so without knowing which one you're dealing with, I can't really offer a solution. If the leaves have semi-circles missing from the edges, leaf cutter bees are the culprits. They're simply chewing off a piece to line their nests and, aside from a few leaves looking unsightly, your plant won't suffer too much. I wouldn't recommend trying to control them - bees are beneficial pollinators in our gardens. If there are random holes in the leaves, beetles might be at work. Again, control recommendations are difficult without knowing exactly what the pest might be. Sorry I can't be more helpful. |
