St. Augustine grass is only available as sod or plugs meaning you won't be able to reseed anytime soon! St. Augustine grass begins growing in February, peaks in August, and slows down in December. Therefore, the best time to replant the lawn is when the established lawn is beginning its spring growth spurt, in late spring.
