| I live in Houston Tx. Other lawns in my neighborhood seem to be experiencing the same thing. Dead areas through out the lawn. I'm told there is a bug/pest that eats the roots and that is what is killing it. What kind of pesticide do I need to purchase to stop the entire lawn from being killed. |
| Rhonda, I'm not so sure you are seeing insect damage at this time. My guess is that you are seeing Take All Patch. I suggest that you take a sample from the edge of the dead area of turf with some roots and soil attached (sick not dead grass) and place it in a ziplock bag with your name and phone number in it. If you also have a photo of the lawn areas that is good too. Take the sample and photos to your County Extension Office (281-855-5600) to see if they can help diagnose the problem and recommend an appropriate course of action.
