I recently purchased one of your Meyer Improved Lemon Trees (about 3-1/2' tall on a standard) from Sloat Nursery. I also purchased fertilizer for citrus there. How long after planting should I wait to fertilize? How often thereafter?

Your new lemon tree will need some time to become established before it will be ready to put out new growth. Wait until September to lightly fertilize, then feed again early next spring. By that time the roots should be well established and you can feed in April, June and September (according to package directions). Best wishes with your lemon tree!
