| It would be best to scrape and sand the old paint from the window frames. If that's not possible, and you "seal" the old paint to the wood with a coating of varnish, be aware that the varnish will degrade eventually and the lead paint will beexposed once again. If you choose to seal the paint to the wood, remember to monitor the condition of the sealer and renew as necessary. |
