The Q&A Archives: Corn Ear Worms

Question: Last year I had trouble with corn ear worms. I used Sevin spray and dust, but I didn't slow them down. Any suggestions

Answer: This year try putting a few drops of mineral oil directly on the silks of the ears after the kernals begin to fill out. Don't apply too early - wait until the pollen has fallen from the tassles.
