I have a Korean Lilac on a stand. The flowers died about two weeks ago and I was wondering if I should prune the dead flower heads or leave as is. Louisa

For appearance's sake, I would carefully prune away the spent flowers. If you look closely at the stem where the flower ends and the stem begins, you should see two opposite buds - these will be leaf or flower buds for next spring's display. Be careful not to damage these buds and you cut away the spent flowers. Enjoy your lovely lilac!
