| This plant has thin cascading leaves something like those spiderplant leaves only all green. The flowers are the most beautiful and delicate I've ever seen. Shades of pink starting about halfway up the stem, individual pink tubular shafts on the one stem. At the end of the stem are 6 or 7 long thin flowers starting with green melting into very light green then dark pink and then beautiful purple edges and finally yellow stamens ( I think that is what you call them). I planted this from about 6 offshoots 10 years ago and just this year got flowers. |
| Identifying your plant isn't as easy as I had hoped. There are several possibilities - my first thought is that it might be Fritillaria; the flowers are similar. Or, it could be Ornithogalum thyrsoides or Nerine. You can probably find photos of these plants on the web. If they don't match your plant, try submitting another question with additional information on the plant shape and size and whether the flowers bloom only for a short time in spring or whether they are produced all summer long.
