Dear Monrovia,

I have being trying to identify the name of a cactus plant that my teacher gave me. Unfortunately, niether of us have been able to identify the cactus. I would really appreciate it if you could please help me identify the cactus. The cactus is spineless and has flat, green leaves with pointy tops. The outside of the leaves are striped with white bands. I can also be contacted at (408) 238-8764. Thank you very much for your help.

Without seeing your plant it will be difficult to positively identify, but it sounds like Agave marginata. Here is a website with photos: Variegated Century Plant (Agave americana 'Marginata')
