I live in Jacksonville, Fl. and recently bought a 1 gal sweet broom from a local nursery. I transplanted the plant into a 5 gal terra cotta pot and was just wondering if these plants do well in pots, and possiblity any tips for keeping one in a pot.

Thank You,

Christopher

Christopher,

They will do okay for a while just take care to keep the soil moist. In a terra cotta pot, and especially one of only about 5 gallons in size they will tend to dry out quite quickly on a sunny, hot day and may need to be watered twice daily.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
