Which podocarpus is best for a hedge where height for privacy is very important, but at the same time the narrowness of the patio landscape where it will be planted is also a limiting factor? I'm in sunset 22-24 zones. the plant will get a half day of full sun from late morning on, plus a bit of dappled early morning sun.
thanks you!

I would choose ICEE BLUE? YELLOW-WOOD (Podocarpus elongatus 'Monmal'). Cool, silvery blue green foliage distinguishes this superior conifer for warmer regions such as yours. An elegant tree producing a rounded form with dense pendant branches. Excellent problem solver for dry climates, porous or alkaline soils. Provides lush shade tree or backdrop for more colorful planting. Evergreen. Full sun, part shade. Moderate growth rate; 15 to 25 feet tall. It can be sheared to keep it narrow.
