ust purchased a beautiful Trumpet vine and would like to know if it will tolerate partial sun ( maybe 3 hours a day)It is planted against a stockade fence with a Northern exposure and gets some sun from approx 1130am to 2pm. I used a flat fan trellis to secure IT. Looks OK so far. Please advise. Thank you John V Geraghty.

Trumpet vine really needs full sun to do well, that would be a minimum of six hours including the hour of noon. However, it is a very large vine so once it reaches the top of your fence it will be in sun all day. It may not grow very well until it reaches the sun.
