I have two pots of purple fountaingrass that was blooming and beautiful. My neighbors cows got out and loved it as much as I did. They ate all the blooms and blades down do about six inches. Will it bloom again this year and should I cut it back further?

Mary,

It will probably recover just fine. Grass is able to regrow from the base. I would not cut it back any further. Keep the soil moist and fertilize it just a little...and pen up those cows!
