I would like to know what to fertilize my trees with. When I buy them they have nice dark green leaves, but when the new leaves come on they are very pale. I grow them indoors and have no trouble getting fruit on them. Thanks for your answer. Jo-Anne |
Citrus trees are heavy feeders because they're active all year around producing leaves, flowers and fruit. In the ground, they're fertilized 4-6 times a year; in a container, they should be fertilized more often. I'd use a liquid fertilizer such as Peter's or Miracle-Gro, diluted to half-strength and applied every 2-3 weeks. It will take a few weeks for you to see an improvement in the leaf color. Best wishes with your citrus trees! |
