I was given a plant from my girlfriend for my garden. She calls it a boys and girls plant. I can't find any info on it. The plant has dark medium leaves with white flecks and pink and purple tiny flowers.
Have you any idea of the real name? I know its hard without a picture but I hope you can help.

Thank very much

I've never heard of a boys and girls plant but I wonder if the plant you're describing is Hypoestes phyllostachya, also known as the Polka Dot plant? It has green leaves flecked with either pink or purple and develops tiny pink and purple flowers. Hope this is your plant!
