The clematis is growing rapidly it is 3 years old, it blooms early in the spring and then that is it, just green and growing the rest of the year. It has just about taken over my back fence, that is how big it is. The color of the flowers are paleish white to light purple. Any suggestions?

Many varieties of clematis bloom just once a year in the spring. Whether or not it could rebloom later -- as some varieties do -- depends on what specific kind you are growing.
