Ryne,

Cumping types of bamboo as a group tend to be less winter hardy than running types. The following 2 clumping types of bamboo are the hardier ones sold by Monrovia but they both are rated to zone 8 and based on your zip code you are in zone 7B.

GOLDEN GODDESS BAMBOO (Bambusa multiplex ?Golden Goddess?)
ALPHONSE KARR BAMBOO (Bambusa multiplex ?Alphonse Karr?)

If you choose to try the Alphonse Karr you will need to cut the tops off at the desired height of the screen as it grows to a much taller height without topping.
