Helen,

That question is kinda wide open. I will suggest a few ideas and if you would like more info please submit additional questions that are more specific as to which kind of plant (perennial, shrub, tree, etc.) to the Monrovia website and I'll be happy to help. You can ask questions as often as you like but if they are more specific we can help better.

Some plants to consider include ferns (if shady), sedges, Louisiana iris, spiderwort, bald cypress and willows of various types.
