HI, I was wondering if pinching my mimulus will make the plant fuller and if so how to do it. My plants are growing tall and are thin. Thank You, K |
Pinching will encourage new growth and help your plant look fuller. An added bonus is that when you pinch it back, it will develop twice as many flowering stems. Pinch or cut it back when the flowers are spent; simply cut it back to a node (leaf scar) and you should see two new stems emerge where one once was. If you've never pinched your mimulus back, that might be why your plants are are leggy. They might also be leggy if they may not be getting enough sunshine. Hope this answers all your questions! |
