Is there any way to prune a blue spruce to keep it's height from 10 to 15 feet? |
The only way to control a tree's vertical growth is by cutting out the central leader. The central leader on a spruce is the tall single branch at the top of the tree (the part of the Christmas tree you would put a star on). Keep growth in check bypinching out new, light green growth (called "candles") on the ends of the branches in the spring. |
