bees aren't pollinating my Monrovia lemon tree. Can i artifically pollinate the lemon blossoms with a Q-tip or something? |
It is normal for citrus to drop many of the blossoms without setting fruit and then to drop some of the fruit before it matures. The tree will only carry as much fruit as it can support. To increase the fruit set you can try pollinating by hand, yes. Use a soft bristled paint brush and gently dab from flower to flower. Good luck with your lemon crop! |
