Which type of winter squash is best for making homemade baby food. I tried yellow squash and by the time I removed the skin & seeds, there wasn't enough left to puree.

Ahh, memories...two years ago I was making baby food for my son. I liked to use Butternut Squash varieties, they tend to be much "meatier". I remember specifically using two varieties called "Butter Boy" and "Buttercup" that I purchased at the farmer's market. Incidentally, I noticed both are available as seed from Burpee if you are interested in growing your own. When shopping at the grocery store, any butternut squash variety should be fine. Enjoy that baby!!
