What do I plant against South wall that does not see sun light? Thanks. Sarwan |
For a very deeply shaded location, the many different types of hostas and ferns are a popular choice. They will do best in a shady spot with soil that is organic and humusy, evenly moist yet well drained meaning not soggy or saturated. These plants like shade all day or a bit of gentle early morning sun or bright dappled light all day. They will not tolerate noontime or afternoon sun. Your local nursery staff should be able to show you a selection. (I might mention that I am a little confused by your description, typically a south facing wall is in full sun and the center of a north facing wall would be full shade.) |
