We have one of your Dropmore Scarlet Trumpet Honeysuckles and would like to know if and how to deadhead the plant. We planted it last summer ('05).It is doing well where I planted it and want to prolong the show of flowers if possible. Thanks.

Length of blooming season will depend most on the overall health of the plant as well as the weather each year. Deadheading would prevent the formation of berries, yet another ornamental characteristic of this plant, so most gardeners would not bother to do it.
