The Q&A Archives: trimming shrubs

Question: when to trim eucalyptus

Answer: Spring is when most growth appears so early spring is the best time to prune. You can prune during the early summer, but don't prune after August or the new growth won't have an opportunity to harden off before fall. Best wishes with your garden!
