Will stephan jasmine grow in a large container, say 2 feet x 2 feet? I've been told that vines don't grow in containers.

As long as you take care of a vine, it will grow in a container. Use a combination of potting soil and garden soil in your container and be sure there are plenty of drainage holes in the bottom of the container. Even if you contain the roots, the tops of your Stephan jasmine will grow without problem. Enjoy!
