I just bought a blueberry plant at a plant store, which comes from your company. The plant has blueberries on it. I'd like to know how old the plant would be. Thank you |
Your retailer should be able to estimate the age of the specific plant you purchased. Blueberry bushes can bear at a very young age, however the blooms are usually removed during the first two seasons to allow the plants to use their energy for rooting and becoming well established rather than carrying a crop. Light crops are produced the next couple of years, increasing each year to a full crop beginning about year six to eight, and then continuing for 15 to 20 years -- if the plant is well cared for. |
