Is it to late in the season to prune my azaleas? We have not pruned them in several years.

Nancy,

Azaleas should not be pruned after early summer unless you are just making a few minor snips here and there to shorten a gangly shoot. Go ahead and wait until after their next spring bloom and then cut them back. If you do cut them now it won't kill them but you won't get blooms next spring.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
