The Q&A Archives: norfolk pine

Question: why does my norfolk pine keep wilting. and the needles turn brown and wilt also. it is inside and out of any direct sunlight.

Answer: Robert,

Wilting can be from a lack of soil moisture or from soggy wet soil. These are both very damaging to deadly to roots and when roots are injured they cannot take up water and then the top part will wilt. Sometimes with indoor plants an air draft from your air conditioning can stress a plant and cause it to have problems. If the pot is too small for the plant's size it may also be prone to moisture stress much more easily.
