I just planted some petunias in a pot and they are drooping, are they not getting enough sun? They get the morning sun and some afternoon sun. |
Heather, Drooping indicates a soil moisture problem. Either the soil in the pot is too dry or there was root damage in planting so the plant will be wilting a lot until it is able to regrow new roots to support the top with a steady supply of water. Extended dry conditions or very poor drainage (soggy wet) are also deadly to roots and can also cause subsequent wilting. Your sun exposure on those plants is about right for the hot summer season. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
