i have a voodoo lilly that has been damaged along the stalk about 6 to 8 inches long.It seems to have been skinned back about 1 inch long. The problem now is the soft tissue inside the stalk is deteriorating and the folliage is curling back its still green however.Iwant to do somthing to help the plant its a rare plant and was given to me as a gift can i just cut it back and let nature take its course or should i let it die off on its own hoping to come back next season.

Based on your description I am not certain what has happened to your plant, this is not a typical problem so I would suspect it may be mechanical damage of some kind. If the stalk is damaged there is nothing you could do to help it along, so it is better to let nature take its course. Leave the foliage intact until it is completely dead as it is needed as long as possible for photosynthesis, this will be providing energy to the bulb or tuber.
