Yellowing leaves can indicate over-watering or they can simply be a sign that the leaves are aging and will be shed soon. I'd pinch off the yellowing leaves and cut off any spent blooms as they occur. If you allow annuals to set seeds, the plants will die; by cutting off flowers before they set seeds, you'll delay the process. As an added bonus, the plants may produce a second flush of blooms.
