There are several different dogwoods that grow well in Wisconsin. Cornus alternifolia (Pagoda Dogwood), Grey Osier Dogwood (Cornus racemosa) and Cornelian Cherry Dogwood (cornus mas). I don't know which dogwood you saw in Mississippi so you may want to visit some local nurseries to see what they have. Here is a list of local nurseries - give them a call:
