I have a bunch of impatien seeds that are begining to germinate Since it's winter do they need a warmer climate than outdoors? |
Impatiens that have been started indoors can safely grow under lights for another four to six weeks. They'll need 12-14 hours of artificial light each day. You can plant them outdoors about two weeks after your last frost (about mid-March in your area). Impatiens will grow best in partial shade outdoors and grow very nicely in containers or baskets, or just mixed in a border of other shade-loving plants. |
