Am I overwatering or underwatering if the geranium leaves are losing their dark green color?

Geraniums like soil that is on the dry side so stick your finger down into the soil. When the top inch is dry, it's time to water. When you water, be sure to apply enough to wet the entire root mass. If the dark green color is fading, it may indicate a need for fertilizer. I feed my geraniums with a water-soluable 20-20-20 (such as Peter's or Miracle-Gro) and they green right up. Be sure to dilute according to label directions.

Best wishes with your geraniums!
